Caldwell update

While searching the worldwide intra-web to find info on former Alabama players in the NFL. I found an interesting article about Antoine Caldwell. Caldwell was taken in the third round by the Texans, and has fit in nicely with his new team. Currently, the Texans have Caldwell in a developmental role with hopes for him in the future. They like his attitude and love for the game which will pay off huge dividends down the road.

I think we might be putting this whole fishing story behind us. The University has sent an envoy of one member of the UA compliance staff to Indianapolis to discuss the situation with NCAA enforcement representatives. Cecil Hurt goes into extensive detail quoting NCAA bylaws trying to explain that we should be in the clear.

An article that might (add heavy exaggeration) be of some interest to you Alabama fans, is the choice of Jonathon Crompton as the starting quarterback for the Volunteers. This makes me smile, because Crompton does not seem like much of a threat. Then again, both Crompton and Stephens split time last season and posted one of the worse offensive showings for the Vols in the past two decades. In conclusion, roll tide roll.
