Some Thirsty Thursday videos

With Jerrell Harris back at practice and vying for some playing time, we thought we'd shower down some videos from our BFN cloud about the linebacker. Even though this is his first eligible game of the season it is important to remember that he competes with a stout Nico Johnson and with his lack of playing time due to his six game suspension.

When talking about this competition, Nick Saban remarked “Both guys are doing a good job, both guys are working hard. I think the fact that Nico’s been in that position for two or three weeks now, and Jerrell is getting back into it, he’s certainly doing a good job, but I think there’s a little bit of rust there in terms of assignments relative to not being with us for a few weeks.” Whatever happens this week at linebacker is a moot point to many Bama fans, because we are excited to have Harris back and add depth to position left vacant by an injured Dont'a Hightower

Here is a small glimpse of Jerrell Harris hitting some sleds from practice. We're all wondering how much of an impact he will have on the defense this Saturday. Something to note after watching the video, watch the separation made by Rolando McClain. Amazing.

Watch this video below from August 11, when Jerrell Harris talks about the upcoming season and his potential for getting some playing time. He seems like he has a solid character and real appreciation for his coaches and their schemes. Let's hope that translates to the field this Saturday.

And ftw, we've added this collage of College Gameday on ESPN.com is noteworthy because they have old Tommy Tuberville commenting on the Tide. He makes rather generic comments about the tide and slips in a backhanded compliment at the end. You can't blame him, the Tide was responsible for his slip into obscurity.
