Ben Tate vs Mark Ingram. Round 1

Ben Tate made claims to ESPN that he is a better running back than Mark Ingram. He said “I know I’m the best back in the state. I bet if you went and broke down film and asked teams in the SEC who is the best back in the state, I feel like it’s me.” Ingram, who leads the SEC in rushing with with 1,297 yards in 10 games, responded nonchalantly, “He’s a great back. He runs hard and I like his game and I respect him. I’ll let my game talk for me when I’m on the field.” Oh, everyone in the state of Alabama and beyond will know for sure the day after Thanksgiving.

In other news, Alabama commit Keenan Allen accepted an invitation on Wednesday to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. His Coach Johnny Roscoe said this about Allen, "In terms of guys who can just do it all, Keenan's versatility makes him the best I have ever coached. If we need a touchdown, he can certainly do that for us, but what makes him special is that if I needed him to play offensive guard, he would do it without complaint and block his man," said Roscoe. "He takes the mentality on every play that he can do something to change the course of the game even if he is on defense or special teams. He plays quarterback, running back, wide receiver, safety and kicks for us as well. Who knows what else he will do in the playoffs." Can't wait for him to show up to Tuscaloosa. RTR.
